Statistics homework question regarding std dev, variation, etc

1) A sample of n = 6 scores has a mean of 9. What will be the new value for the sample mean if

a. One of the scores is changed from X = 12 to X = 6?

b. A new score of X = 6 is added to the sample?

c. A score of X = 14 is removed from the sample?



2) For a population of exam scores, a score of X = 29 corresponds to z = 0.5 and a score of X = 20

corresponds to z = -1.0. Find the mean and standard deviation for the population.

(i know z=x-mean/std dev but I'm not sure how to figure this out when only given z and x...)



I'm so lost when it comes to stats, if someone could help me i'd be super thankful (:
