What are chromosomes, chromatids, and centromeres? Biology

I have a big test tomorrow and its mostly about the cell cycle (interphase, prophase, metaphase, anaphase, telophase) & I keep going through words like chromosomes, chromatids, and centromeres? I just don't understand it & doesn't really explain it that much in my book. can someone please explain those terms to me? If you can in simple terms.. thanks!
