Am I getting to much math homework

I'm in precalculus 11 and my math teacher assigns us so much homework that I often cannot finish it all. Before I tell you how many questions she's assigning, I want to give you a feel of the work per question that she expects in order to give us full marks.

She spends an entire class showing us how to "show our work" by making us write several paragraphs like "Since the test point (0,0) does not satisfy the linear inequality, we will shade the solution region that does not contain the point (0.0); Shade below the boundary line." or "Since the boundary line is a broken line, there are two possible inequality symbols: > or <. She makes us also do this time consuming "left side right side check" where we need to write the inequality then the test point along with a sentence describing the test point then we need to write L.S.= (0) R.S.= (+2/+3)(0)+3 and move one step at a time while writing L.S. and R.S beside every step. These aren't even word problems, those are worse. Per question, if I make it as compact as I can, I will spend quarter of a page per question. What really pisses me off is that the questions are really simple, barely require you to do any math, and could be done much quicker without her useless steps.

Now with the homework..

Per class, she assigns an average of 16 question. Doesn't seem bad, does it? OH WAIT, every question contains 5 questions, a), b), c), d), and e), each of which require the work i've listed above including more. hmm 16x5=80 questions. Each math assignment takes me 8+ hours to do.

Every second day, I come to math class with 12+ double sided pages of math homework and an exhausted look on my face. Am I overreacting or is my teacher crazy?
