1. A 48 gram sample of impure potassium nitrate (KNO3) was heated to complete decom- position according to the equation

After the reaction was complete, the volume of the dry gas produced was 2 liters at 122.7?C and 691 torr. How many grams of KNO3 were present in the original sample? (Assume that only the potassium nitrate had decomposed.)
