Homework help for english?

I need help with my english class. Were working on comma rules. we use (for,nor,buy, or,yet,so) as coordinatiing conjunctions. we have to decide if the sentence needs a comma, if so place it. Then underline the subject of each clause once, and underling the verb twice. I dont understand how to do it.



Heres one&two

1. I went to the racetrack but came home with no money.

2. She does her homework or gets a homework detention.
