Random samples of recent hospital "short" stays for both men and women revealed that a 95% confidence interval for the difference in means, , was -0.5 to 1.9. Suppose this interval was based on the assumption of equal variances and that the sample sizes were 12 men and 20 women. Also assume the assumption of Normality is satisfied. What is the standard error of the estimate?
