Q 1. A pair of dice is thrown and the sum of their values is recorded.

(a) List the outcomes in the sample space.

(b) List the outcomes that make up the following events: A = greater than 7 B = an odd number.

(c) List the elements of the following events Ac, A \ B, A [ B.

(d) Give the probabilities of all the outcomes in the sample space (NOTE: the outcomes are not equally likely).

(e) Give the probabilities of the events in (c), assuming the dice are unbiased.
