Instantaneous velocity calculus help?

The height (in centimeters) at time t (in seconds) of a small mass oscillating at the end of a spring is
h(t) = 3 cos(8?t).
Calculate the mass's average velocity over the time interval
[3, 3.4]
and estimate the instantaneous velocity at
t = 3.
(Round your answers to three decimal places.)

I've tried solving this multiple times and keep coming up with a wrong answer. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong but i keep trying to plug the values in for t and then dividing by .4 and getting something like 1.26
If someone could please help I would really really appreciate it
