A capacitor of 10 µF capacitance is charged to 1000 V and is then discharged through a wire. Find the heat produced in wire in calories.

Calculate the following :
(i) The potential difference across the combination.
(ii) The electrostatic energy before the capacitors are connected in parallel.
(iii) The electrostatic energy after the capacitors are connected in parallel.
