My teacher didn't teach us too well, so I'm doing some problems off of a practice worksheet he gave us for the test.

4. Sketch a distribution showing the length of time students would take to complete a chapter test, out of a 50-minute class period. Next, explain its shape and walls, if any.

7. Suppose you have a list of the ages, in years, of all people in your neighborhood. The oldest person is 87.
a) If you replace the maximum age with 92, how are the mean and median affected?
b) If you change all the ages to months, how are the mean and standard deviation affected?
c) If you add 10 years to all ages in the original data set, how are the mean and standard deviation affected?
