Chemistry question: magnesium reacting with oxygen?

If a student started with exactly 0.3000 g Mg, what would be the mass of the product is 100 percent of the Mg reacted to form MgO? If the measured product mass was 0.4891 g, what percentage of the Mg formed Mg3N2 instead of MgO? (Hint: In forming Mg3N2, every Mg atom "picks up" the equivalent of 2/3 of the mass of a nitrogen atom. You can scale the calculation on the basis of the mass change per Mg atom.)

I don't even know where to start with this.
