1) Running at constant speed, Andy can run around a circular track once in 40 seconds. Bob, running in the opposite direction, slaps hands with Andy every time they run past each other. If they only slap hands every 15 seconds, how many seconds does it take Bob to run around the track once?

2)One caterer charges a basic fee of $100 plus $15 per person. A second caterer charges a basic fee of $200 plus $12 per person. What is the least number of people that could go to a party so that the second caterer is cheaper to hire?

3) There are three lead bricks on a table, and you have a strangely designed scale that only functions properly when it has two bricks on it. So you put two of the bricks on and they weigh 24 pounds. Another set of two bricks weighs 26 pounds. The final set of two bricks weighs 30 pounds. How much does each brick weigh?

4) Loc can mow his entire lawn in 20 minutes; Loc's roommate Reza needs 30 minutes to mow the entire lawn. If Loc starts mowing at 1:00, mows for five minutes and then Reza starts to help with his own mower, at what time will they finish mowing the lawn? Express your answer in the form h:mm.

5)My trip to work is 120 miles. If I go 8 mph faster than my usual speed, I'll get to work 30 minutes earlier. How long does my trip take, in hours, if I go my usual speed?
