Help me!! primary and secondary current in an electric transformer?

i have a question regarding current in primary and secondary,if i start PHET simulation,it clearly shows that current in primary is 90 out of phase with secondary having assumed that both coils are pure inductive...now question arises as follows
1.rate of change of flux and rate pf change of primary current are in phase
2.rate of change of flux and induced emf in secondary are 90 out of phase.
3.since coils are supposed to be inductive so secondary emf and secondary current should be itself 90 out of phase....which means primary and secondary current should either be in phase or 180 out of phase and not 90
in nutshell i want to know what is the phase difference between primary and secondary current ?
