Why the Living And Not dead Electronics?

there has been literally thousands and thousands of incidents of telepathy and other psychic phenomena. Everything points to a carrier that travels faster than light, does not decrease with distance, and is no way part of the EM paradigm. Maybe something traveling through some domain in subspace... 

If plants can communicate pain to each other from miles away, why can't non-living devices be made to detect signals propagating through subspace? 

BTW, this is not a silly question as many people and agencies such as the IEEE (the Institute for Electronics and Electrical Engineers) have been exploring this area for decades. The practical applications could revolutionize the world.
