Is it ok to daisy chain multiple power strips?

Hi I was wondering if it is safe to daisy chain multiple identical power strips that draw the same amount of power to each other and if it is dangerous or not. My knowledge in electrics isn't the best which is why I'm asking. I will hopefully be doing drum corps in the 2017 season and a problem that I've heard of is not enough outlets to charge phones and my solution to that would be to daisy chain 3 power strips thus providing 34 outlets instead of 1 and if I can do this for multiple 4 outlets there could be 136 outlets instead of 4. I know this sounds crazy, stupid, and in no way would work but I'm curious. I've read about people doing this but with stuff that draws a lot of power and the strip shorting out and creating a fire but I'd like to know if this is plausible (keep in mind the only things that will be plugged in are phones) and if not let me know and explain why. Thanks.
