Wastewater problem?

A completley mixed activated sludge process is to be designed to treat a mucicipal wastewater flow of 10 mgd and BOD5 of 240 mg/L. The following design criteria are aplicable: 

MLVSS = 200 mg/L 

MLVSS = 0.85 x MLSS 

S = 4 mg/L 

Ks = 60 mg/L BOD 

k = 8 g BOD/(gVSS - day) 

Y = 0.6 mg VSS/mg BOD 

kd = 0.10 day-1 

fd = 0.10 g VSS/g VSS 

BOD5 = 0.67 x BODult 

TKNinf = 35 mg/L 

Total Pinf = 8 mg 

(1) Determine the required aeration tank volume assuming the given biomass concentration, So, S, and other parameters using equation 

So-S = (V/Q)(kXS/Ks+S)
