Would you ever consider a part of the matrix theory to be a possibility?

Obviously the chosen one part of it can come across as ridiculous but the concept itself about the world being one huge program run by a super computer seems possible to me. I understand people have free will but there is a limit. We live each day and make decisions but each decision has a certain result. I know people obviously are offended when they are compared to robots but it may be possible that we are but just really advanced robots living in a goldilocks program where mathmatically things work and everything has a scientific explanation. I believe we as humans could create a program just like this and if we can then it wouldn't be out of the question that we are getting the same treatment.
