Can someone explain these formula for me? "Electrical engineering"? Urgent!

`This is for "Programmable Voltage Regulator Design based on Digitally Controlled Potentiometer" 

I need someone to tell me what does each simple mean in these formulas and what is the formula used for. Also, if there are more explanation for it, I'd be thankful for you. 

1) Uo=1.25 * ((1+(Rdcp/R1)) 
2) Uo=Uref((1+(R1/(Rdcp+R2))) 
3) GND 
4) DCP 
5) REF
