Suppose the quality of certain TV brand is tested by using 200 TV’s for one hour. Let X=number of TV’s failing within one hour. The probability of a TV not failing within one hour is 0.92. This specific brand will be withdrawn from the market if more than two TV’s fail within one hour. 

a) Calculate the probability that five TV’s will fail in one hour. 
b) Calculate the probability that the TV brand will be withdrawn from the market. 

QUESTION 2 

Suppose that a hat containing 100 balls consists of 20 blue, 30 yellow, 30 red and 20 green balls. A sample of 5 balls is drawn from the hat one by one without replacement. 

a) Calculate the probability that there will be 2 blue balls in the sample. 
b) Calculate the probability that there will be 3 red balls in the sample. 
c) Calculate the probability that there will be at least 1 green ball in the sample. 6. Calculate the probability that there will be at most 2 yellow balls in the sample.
