Chemistry analysis of techniques and instruments. (HELP PLS)?

So, the last question of a chemistry assignment asks me to write a discussion which evaluates the suitability of the techniques and instruments used in chemical analysis. It requires quite extensive answering as it is worth 15 marks. The first prac we used gravimetric analysis to find the mass of a precipitate. The second we used a back titration of ammonium compounds. And the third prac was a colorimetric analysis of phosphorous (as phosphate) in fertilizer. From what i know i can say that a gravimetric analysis was suitable as we had a precipitate, and the most common use for gravimetric analysis is for the determination of precipitates. The second prac we use a back titration as the ammonium compounds are weakly acidic and wouldn't provide a sharp enough end point to see accurate results. I don't really know what i can say about the last prac. Any help would be appreciated.
