How to become a power engineer?

How do you become a power engineer? I plan on getting a bachelors degree in electrical engineering and specializing in electrical power systems. Would that land me a job? I plan on having a internship throught college as well. Also I have a couple questions about it. 
Where do I look for the jobs at Power companies? 
Would a Master or even a Ph.D in electrical engineering provide a significant increase in pay and posisiton. Is it worth the years of more school?
