The lac repressor protein is composed from polypeptide chains each of which contains 360 amino acid 
residues. The relative molecular mass of the intact protein was determined by equilibrium 
centrifugation to be 160,000. Explain how this information is consistent with a tetrameric quaternary 
structure of the protein? (On average an amino acid residue in a protein has a relative molecular mass 
of 110.)
