Find the rate of change in current at the instant of closing switch ?




A Coil of resistance 20 ? and inductance 0.8 H is conneted to a 200V d.c supply. Find (i) rate of change in current at the instant of closing switch (ii) final steady value of current (iii) time constant of the circuit (iv) time taken for the current to rise to half its final steady value of current to rise to half its final value, and (v) energy stored in the field when steady state is reached.
