Hot Wire Voltmeter
The construction of a hot-wire voltmeter is almost identical to a hot-wire ammeter except that a high resistance r is connected in series with the wire AB in places of the shunt r. The alternating voltage to be measured is applied across T1 and T2. A current passes through AB and the pointer attached to the cylinder deflects. The deflection is proportional to V2rms. The scale is graduated is such a way that it reads directly the rms voltage. For more help in Hot Wire Voltmeter please click the button below to submit your homework assignment.
