The curve plotted giving relationship between induction density B and magnetizing force H is known as magnetization curve. Magnetization curves for silicon alloy (electrical sheets) steel, cast steel and cast iron are whom in. From the curves shown in it is observed that magnetic induction density B first increases rapidly with increasing field strength H as far as the knee on the curve is reached and then levels off. The flat part of the curve corresponds to magnetic saturation of the material. It will be noted that relationship  B/μ_o  H = μ_r  is not constant; it continuously varies with changes in B and H.
