Group Dynamics

‘Group dynamics’ is an important aspect of organizing. Groups are and important feature of organizational life and managers spend substantial part of their time in managing groups and teams. Managers cannot do away with groups. They have to manage the organizations in such away that groups contribute to organizational and group goals. How effectively a manager plan, organized, staffs, leads and controls depends upon how effectively he can manage the groups. A group regresses to “two or more propel who interact with one another, are psychologically aware of one another, perceive themselves to be members of the group, and work towards a common goal.”
